Sharing problems...

A problem shared is a problem halved, so the saying goes.

Problems come in all shapes and sizes, sometimes we are reacting to life, sometimes we want to understand why we do what we do or change how we think about ourselves or our world.

Talking about how you feel, in confidence, to a therapist that is non-judgemental can help you change how you think and feel, maybe give you some clarity to help you to work out what you might want to do. Sometimes it is just too difficult to talk to the people we love about our fears, but we need to talk it through with someone.

I aim to help you feel better about whatever is going on in your life.

What happens when you get in touch?

Getting in touch with a counsellor for the first time can be scary, but it is a brave first step to changing how you feel about what might be going in your life now, or what has happened in the past.

You can either call 07951921626 or email dowson.charlotte@gmail.com to arrange an initial chat and assessment online via video chat on Zoom.  This first session is about half hour where we will discuss what you want to get out of counselling, and how we can work together. All conversations are confidential and adhere to the BACP code of ethics.

If you decide you want to continue then we will arrange to meet regularly for 50 minute sessions. We can do this online, in person in the Wells/Mendip area or a walking therapy session (see below). In some cases I can come to you.

I also offer walking therapy where, after an initial assessment we can meet outside and walk for 45 minutes discussing anything that you want to talk about. These walks take place in the Wells/Frome/Glastonbury areas in Somerset. Please do get in touch if you would like more information.

Cost

First assessment session: £20

Regular 50 minute sessions: £40

Limited concession/student appointments available. Please ask.
